Domus Stocchino offers the ideal stay for two persons or a small family who wanna spend their holidays in the open air and relax themselves completely in a natural context.

Stocchino's vacationhome has two bedrooms with a total of four beds, a bathroom with washing machine, a tastefully furnished open kitchen with a lounge veranda. Garden, garden furniture, bbq and terraces.


Lotzorai, a friendly Ogliastra village, is located between two rivers, (Pramaera and Girasole), 1000 metres from the seashore, a position that accounts for the pleasant unceasing breeze tempering its summertime heat.

The village is at the centre of a huge amphitheatre formed by Monte Oro that overlooks it from Baunei, and the distant Gennargentu tops standing out against a terse cerulean sky. The mountain semicircle protects this Ogliastra valley from the chilly winters fostering its spring-like climate. For Lotzorai the Roman saying does apply: “Hic Ver Assiduum” here spring is eternal !

Coming from Cagliari, Lotzorai is announced by the Castello della Medusa, the building that dominates the village like a sturdy medieval knight on guard. A rare view can be enjoyed from the castle: the sea below and the tiny isle of Ogliastra, a few hundred feet away from the coast, are so close, one could almost touch them.

Today in the village and in its hamlet Tancau, there are several hotels and restaurants, five camp sites and an area reserved for campers, a large open-air discotheque and many other places where one can spend a pleasant evening.

In the hinterland, just a few kilometres from the village, are interesting complexes of domus de janas and other archaeological remains. Su Padentino (4 km from Lotzorai, on the road to Talana) is a lush forest of century old ilexes, cork-oaks and carobs, with areas for safe barbecues, and a picnic area with stone tables and benches.

Lotzorai is a small village, situated at only one km from the sea, surrounded by unspoilt countryside in the centre of the Ogliastra plain. Over the last twenty years the population has almost doubled thanks to the strong influence of tourism in the area. Girasole’s territory extends for about 13 km and farming plays an important role in the community.


Forty kilometres of coast in the wildest part of Sardinia, sheer cliffs dotted with coves and beaches that are the real jewels of the Mediterranean. One of the last natural paradises, where faunistic species such as, the Corsican seagull, the peregrine falcon, and the crested cormorant nest and live in harmony with the environment, a land that is jealously guarded by the custodians of the territory, the local shepherds whose flocks of goats graze free amid the mountains.

Excursions aboard small motor boats for groups of approx 12 people. Discover the charm of the Orosei coast, explore the creeks and coves on your pleasant outing, pausing along the way to swim in the most beautiful crystal-clear sea of the Mediterranean. See the Ogliastra islets, Pedra Longa, the water springs of Baus, the cave of the doves, the inlets of Porto Pedrosu and Portu Cuau (on the bottom of the latter is the wreck of the cargo boat Levante, which sank in the 1960s).

During our mini-cruise we can stop at the splendid beaches of Cala Goloritzé, the Sorgenti beach, the Gabbiano beach and the beaches of Cala Mariolu and Cala Biriola. In addition we can visit the spectacular “Fico” cave, where the monk seal was last seen.


The modern Tourist Port of Baunei and Santa Maria Navarrese has been inaugurated in 1998, a sure and pleasant shelter in the oriental Coast of Sardinia that can entertain up to 340 boats with a maximum length up to 30 meters.

The personnel is competent and cordial and the variety of the offered services are able to satisfy the different demands of the diportistis. From June 2005 the port has been endowed with the "Pequod", the lifter to otherwise allow the access on board of the skilled people, becoming so the "first accessible port" of Sardinia.

In 2006 for the second consecutive tim
e the Tourist Port has gotten the prestigious recognition Blue Flag of the tourist landings, that is assigned for quality of the landing, services and safety measures, environmental education and information.

The Tourist Port every year increases his presences thanks to the quality of the services that offers and to the magic scenery where the is drawn the port that from the sense of the nature thanks to the green that surrounds it.

Beste mensen, Mijn naam is Gianni Franceschi, geboren in Lanusei Sardinië. Sinds 1976 in Nederland en in dienst van Dow Benelux in Terneuzen. Nu al 36 jaar samen met mijn lieve vrouw Hanneke. Vanaf 1999, naast mijn eigen werk; begonnen met het verhuren van een aantal woningen van familie en van goede vrienden aan de Oostkust van Sardinië.

Toelichting op de prijzen
Payment Terms: Within 7 days after receiving our confirmation on your booking request you've to pay 30% of the total rent deposit. On arrival at your vacation home, the balance due has to be paid to the owner.

Cancellation: Cancellation 9 months to three weeks time before arriving 30% of the total rent payable. If canceled less than the above term is 50% of the total rent payable.

Regarding a withdrawal of your booking in case of serious illness, we can make an agreement that only 15% of the total amount will be paid from your side. Although when demonstrable with an authentic and signed medical certificate (no copies), which can be sent to us for further verification.

Omgeving Tortoli.

Waar vind je transparante, heldere zeeen en niet-toeristische stranden, en tegelijkertijd Wild West-achtige landschappen met overblijfselen uit het Bronzen Tijdperk? "Ogliastra is het meest on-Italiaanse deel van Italie", wordt wel gezegd. Dit niet alleen door haar geografische ligging, maar meer nog door het contrast in landschap en cultuur met het vasteland. Terwijl Italie meest pittoresk en vol stijl is, blijft Ogliastra een bijna onaangetast stuk land, die haar natuurlijke schoonheid door de eeuwen heen behouden heeft. Haar mooiste monumenten zijn de "kale" stenen bouwwerken zoals de nuraghi, de menhirs, de heilige waterbronnen, de enorme graftombes en de "domus de janas". Dit is Ogliastra in Sardinie! Of zoals de Italianen dat liever horen: Sardegna!Baunei en Santa Maria Navarresse zijn karakteristieke dorpen langs de kust en hebben betoverende stranden.Het strand van Santa Maria Navarresse bevindt zich aan de rand van het dorp zelf en loopt noordelijk richting het strand van Lotzorai en het “spaggia delle Rose” dat toebehoort tot de het dorpje Lotzorai. Voor het strand merkt men het kleine eilandje “L’isola di Ogliastra’ op dat bestaat uit een soort roze graniet. Ten noorden van Santa Maria Navaresse wordt de kust een stuk ruiger door zijn gebergte van waar men een prachtig uitzicht heeft over de diepblauwe zee en de rotsen die oprijzen vanuit het water. Zo kunt u de beroemde Pedra Longa ofwel Agugliastra bewonderen, een kalkachtige gesteente dat zijn naam heeft verleend aan de omgeving Ogliastra.
